How To Buy A Hula Hoop
New to hula hooping and wondering what the right hula hoop is for you? Choosing the 'right' hoop can feel like a daunting task. Well, here is a beginner's introduction to the world of hula hoop sizes and tubing
Romain, Charles, and I have finally found our new church home and the place where we will get Charles baptized later this year. We have decided to join the congregation of Emmanuel Episcopal Church Geneva. Emmanuel Episcopal Church, built-in 1877, is a church that celebrates the diversity of its multinational congregation, which is made up of a wide range of denominational and non-Christian backgrounds.

If you are reading this, you may wonder what is this "hoop jam" Christel keeps advertising?
Hooping or hula hooping, also known as hoop dance is a combination of technical movements, mixed with freestyle (free expression), and classical dance moves. Hula hoops most often come in various forms of plastic (PE, PEX, polycarbonate, polypropylene) but can also come in either metal or wood. Hula hooping today is a much different activity from the classic toy crazy of your childhood. Modern 'hoopers' (people who hoop), on average, use hula hoops that are much larger in diameter and heavier than the toy hoops you will find at your local children's toy store (especially if you are a beginner).
Romain and I left Huntington Beach and moved to Marseille in January 2014. When we arrived, for me, it was the classic fish out of water story. Coupled with a massive language barrier. For those of you who do not know, Romain is French from the northeast of France. And though he is not 'Marseillais' by birth, he did spend most of his childhood in the city and was kind enough to pass on the tips and tricks of a local to me. After living six years in Marseille and thanks to the countless activities with our hula hoop association. There is not a part of this city we have not walked, and we do not know.
Getting ready to say good-bye to a place that has for many years been our home. I started looking back at the photos and videos on our Instagram account. Reminiscing about how we spent our time in Marseille working on association Hoop de Mars. And thinking about how much life has changed since my pregnancy and Charles' subsequent birth. It is pumpkin pie season again! I am super stoked about it. They are one of my favorite fruits, and a flovor that I look forward to each fall season. Pumpkins are chock-full of vitamins and minerals and consist of 94% water. They are great for your baby's eyes.
They can aid with digestion, relieve constipation, and are rich in antioxidants. Eating pumpkin bolsters the immune system, helps your baby sleep better, and is excellent for baby's growth and development. So, of course, this is the next flavor we will be testing out with Charles. I have to be honest when I began my investigation to compare Rotterdam to Geneva. I was quite ignorant about Switzerland. To me, Switzerland is one of those countries that is a bit mysterious. However, during my research, the more I learned about the country, the more intrigued I became. When I finished, both sides of my paper for Geneva were full! I want to share with you some of what I learned. Here are our top 10 reasons we are delighted to be moving to Geneva, Switzerland. 📢 En français ci-dessous
I am so excited to share these beautiful photos with y'all! Last Saturday Charles, Romain & I had our first professional photo shoot with the talented Vanessa of Bertille Pics, to commemorate the inauguration of the concept store Atelier Kitoko opening in le Panier. It is a female haven with natural haircare by Niousha Bantoo, collaborating with Hot Milk Magazine & Mamma Shop Marseille. These awesome ladies will be hosting workshops of all kinds, selling hand made maternity clothes by Latté, maman accessories made by artisans in the region, and of course it is a safe space for breastfeeding mamans!! Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we do 💖. |
